Rinker might challenge Shea

Former Executive Councilor Earl Rinker is contemplating challenging District Two Executive Councilor John Shea, The Union Leader's Tom Fahey is reporting.

From 1987-1996, Rinker held the seat now occupied by Ray Wieczorek. Rinker now lives in Concord, which is in Shea's district.

If Rinker entered the race it could force him into a Republican primary with Merrimack County Attorney Dan St. Hilaire.

St. Hilaire has sat he is currently "exploring" a run and recently established a political action committee.
