Smith decides against presidential run

Former New Hampshire U.S. Sen. Bob Smith has decided against running for president.

Smith requested his name be removed from consideration to be the Constitution Party's presidential nominee. He told party leaders he could not run for personal reasons.

Smith served in the U.S. Senate from 1990-2003, he was defeated in the Republican primary by current U.S. Senator John E. Sununu.
