St. Hilaire to run for Executive Council

Merrimack County Attorney Dan St. Hilaire (R-Concord) has decided to run for the Executive Council District Two seat.

"New Hampshire is facing tough times. Government is getting bigger, the economy is slowing down, and the citizens of District Two need and deserve better representation," St. Hilaire said in a statement.

St. Hilaire is also a city councilor in Concord.

"I believe we need an Executive Councilor who will work with boards of selectmen and city and state government officials to fix the problems in their communities. We also need to focus on our state's infrastructure: roads, bridges and highways across the state," he added.

The District Two seat is currently occupied by Democrat John Shea and stretches from Western New Hampshire to the Seacoast.

Bye Bye Shea

I'm a Democrat and I think Shea needs to go. He is in over his head and totally unresponsive to the people in his district. The man is recluse.

St. Hilaire

He's a talented and up and comer. NH could use another smart and attentive person on the Executive Council.

Dan St. Hilaire

The governor's council could use a person like Dan St. Hilaire. He is smart, a good leader, and pays attention to the people he serves. His brother, Rick, should run for higher office too!

St. Hilaire for Executive Council

I am surprised that he would run and take a pay cut to run for an outdated form of government.

I woudl rather see him run for Congress or Governor, and I am saying this as a Democrat.

If he wants to do it than go ahead.

But the only Executive Councilor in recent history to go far was Judd Gregg but he was a Gregg.

If Shea needs professional help he can contact me, Bob Davidson, a Democratic Consultant and candidate for Rockingham County Commissioner.

Shea will need big time help this time especially if St. Hilaire runs. I met St. Hilaire back in 2002, when I won as a State Rep. He is a good guy but Shea is better and we need more Democrats to move this State forward.
