NASHUA-- State Sen. Bob Clegg (R-Hudson) spent the morning before primary day greeting voters at BAE Systems.

Clegg is competing in a primary for the 2nd Congressional District against Jennifer Horn (R-Nashua), Grant Bosse (R-Hillsboro) and Jim Steiner (R-Concord).

Bosse Calls for Hodes to Denounce Democratic Insults
Democratic Party Insults Patriotic New Hampshire Workers, Hodes Remains Silent


(Nashua)  Republican Grant Bosse today called on Paul Hodes to break his silence, and repudiate the insulting statements from the Democratic Party describing New Hampshire workers as “war profiteers.”  The Union Leader this morning editorialized against the Democrats’ recent press release describing New Hampshire firms like BAE Systems and Tyco International as “bilking the American taxpayers for billions.”

Politics, earmarks don’t mix paper concludes

This year New Hampshire's congressional delegation requested money for 107 earmarks however The Nashua Telegraph finds that campaign donations played almost no role in the earmarking process.

"Earmarking" is when a member of the U.S. House or Senate specifies certain money of the federal budget go to a specific project. The process has come under scrutiny after several House members were convicted on corruption charges relating to earmarks.
