DENVER-- State Rep. Bette Lasky has begun to put together the foundations for her fall campaign.

The Nashua Democrat is running for the state senate in district 13 against Sandra Ziehm (R-Nashua).

Seventeen New Hampshire Democrats will be participating in the Democratic Leadership Conference meeting this weekend.

Concord City Councilor Rob Werner is organizing the trip to the DLC's "National Conversation" conference in Chicago.

Dennis Hogan (R-Nashua) has decided to run for the state senate.

Hogan filed with the Secretary of State office for the Senate District 13 seat. He will be running against state Rep. Bette Lasky (D-Nashua) for the seat being abandoned by state Sen. Joe Foster (D-Nashua).

Nashua Republicans will have Dennis Hogan taking a second shot at Senate District 13 this fall. Earlier today Sen. Majority Leader Joe Foster announced he would not be seeking reelection and the Democrats announced state Representative Bette Lasky would be their nominee.

Republicans are excited about the prospects of Hogan. Hogan is a trial lawyer and school board member serving since 2006. One republican consultant thought Hogan was the most qualified candidate the GOP could hope for saying he’s been on the ballot before, he’s articulate and can raise money.
