Horn’s mysterious lobbyist donation

Over the past two days Jennifer Horn (R-Nashua) has been criticized by both rival Grant Bosse (R-Hillsboro) and the website Blue Hampshire for accepting money from a lobbyist, while she said Bob Clegg (R-Hudson) should return money from lobbyists that donated money to his campaign.

"Self-proclaimed front-runner Jennifer Horn has accepted campaign contributions from a registered lobbyist, despite earlier demands that a fellow candidate return lobbyist contributions and apologize to the voters of New Hampshire," Bosse said in a statement.

Caulfield leaves position at Blue Hampshire

One of BlueHampshire.com's three managing editors is leaving his position after getting a promotion at his day job.

In post on the website last night, one of the remaining two managing editors, Dean Barker, made the announcement.

Blue Hampshire: 'cyber equivalent of the old Puritan Restaurant '

Using an open format that allows almost anyone to post comments, the website Blue Hampshire has become a daily read for Granite State Democrats.

Founded in November 2006 by bloggers Mike Caulfield, Laura Clawson and Dean Barker the site now has 1,300 registered users and receives almost 5,000 page views per day.

Hodes Raises $1 Million

New Hampshire U.S. Rep. Paul Hodes (D-Concord) raised over $1 million for his re-election campaign last year, a progressive in-state blog reports.

BlueHampshire.com cites the number in a post this morning. It might be the first time a blog of this nature has scooped the traditional press in releasing fund-raising data.

Hodes has yet to file his campaign finance report with the Federal Election Commission.
