Sununu Accepts Donation from Disgraced AIG Executive, Then Says Company May be Guilty of Fraud

After taxpayers bailed out AIG and their executives subsequently took a spa vacation, John Sununu accepted $2,300 from an AIG executive, even though he believes the company may be guilty of fraud

(Manchester, NH) - Days after taxpayers paid over $85 billion to bail out insurance giant AIG in September, top AIG executives took a week-long spa vacation in California, spending $440,000 worth of taxpayer money. Just two weeks later, John Sununu accepted a $2,300 max-out check from AIG Direct President Bruce Marlow, despite the fact that John Sununu himself believes AIG may be guilty of accounting fraud.

FACT CHECK:  SHEA-PORTER FAILS LOBBYIST PURITY TEST

CONCORD, NH – In the latest DCCC ad being run in New Hampshire on behalf of embattled Rep. Shea-Porter Ad Continues Assault on Honesty
Cozies Up to Lobbyists and Calls it ‘Change’

Washington- Carol Shea-Porter is on the air with a new ad that is just the latest in a string of whoppers dealt to the people of New Hampshire. This time, Shea-Porter has the audacity to claim that she stands with the middle class, voting for tax cuts and refusing to take donations from lobbyists. Shea-Porter, apparently, doesn’t expect voters to do their homework, because if they did, they would discover that the claims in this ad are demonstrably false.

JEB BRADLEY’S STATEMENT ON CAROL SHEA-PORTER’S SUPPORT OF ETHICALLY CHALLENGED COLLEAGUE

Shea-Porter Votes Her Party Line Again and Supports Her Top Contributor

Manchester, NH – Earlier this week, 1st District Congressional Candidate Jeb Bradley called on  Carol Shea-Porter to return the $14,000 in donations from embroiled New York Congressman Charles Rangel and request he step down from his Chairmanship of the powerful Ways and Means Committee.  As is well documented in the public, Congressman Rangel has admitted to not paying taxes on rental income for two decades,  and has three outstanding Congressional Inquiries for his misuse of Congressional stationary for non-official use, improperly accepting cut rent from a campaign donor on four New York City Apartments & improperly using one as a campaign office.  Recent news reports have also blasted the Congressman for sponsoring an earmark to fund a library dedicated to himself.  Carol Shea-Porter, this summer, voted against censuring Rangel when the vote was brought to the House floor. WITH CORRUPTION TRIAL LOOMING, SUNUNU FUNDS MAY GO TOWARD DEFENDING INDICTED SENATOR

Democrats call on Sununu to stop his campaign money from being spent to support Ted Stevens

According to a report in today’s edition of Roll Call, the National Republican Senatorial Committee, to which John Sununu donated $30,000 this cycle, now says it supports indicted-Senator Ted Stevens’ re-election bid, is polling voters in the state, and is refusing to say whether it will spend money on his behalf through advertising or other campaign spending.  After Stevens was indicted in July, Sununu returned $10,000 of the $47,000 Stevens has contributed to him, the GOP caucus removed Stevens from his committee leadership posts, and the NRSC refused to publicly endorse the incumbent in his primary.
