Biden: Clinton 'is as qualified or more qualified' than me to be VP

NASHUA -- Beginning a what will be a busy few days of presidential politics in the state, Democratic vice presidential nominee Joe Biden spoke in Nashua even though he suggested maybe someone else should be in his shoes: U.S. Sen. Hillary Clinton of New York.

"(Clinton) might have been a better pick than me," Biden said to an audience of about 400 at Nashua Community College. "She is as qualified or more qualified than I am to be vice president of the United States."

This was Biden's first trip back to New Hampshire since December when he met with the media in Concord and Keene and spoke at a party in New Ipswich. After that his presidential campaign focused on Iowa. After a dismal performance in the Iowa caucuses he dropped out before even coming back to New Hampshire.

Over the next two days PolitickerNH.com will be updating the site from the Lakes region.

We will be attending a debate between Jeb Bradley and John Stephen, moderating an event with the New Hampshire Farm Bureau Federation and New Hampshire Timberland Owners Association, where candidates will be speaking from a tree stump, and interviewing various political insiders.
