CONCORD-- One of the most prominent unions in New Hampshire endorsed Gov. John Lynch (D-Hopkinton) and Executive Councilor John Shea's (D-Nelson) re-election campaigns.

The Professional Fire Fighters of New Hampshire endorsed the two at a press conference at the Legislative Office Building. David Lang, PFFNH's president, said that Lynch and Shea act as a team like firefighters do.

Fire Fighters thank Gov. Lynch, Councilor Shea for Efforts to Protect NH Citizens, First Responders

CONCORD – Praising Gov. John Lynch for making the safety of New Hampshire citizens and first responders his top priority, the Professional Fire Fighters of New Hampshire today announced their endorsement of Gov. Lynch for a third term.

The Professional Fire Fighters of New Hampshire (PFFNH) have decided to endorse state Sen. Bob Letourneau's (R-Derry) re-election campaign.

Letourneau is the second Republican state senator the fire fighters union has endorsed. Earlier this month they endorsed state Sen. Ted Gatsas (R-Manchester) over his opponent Bob Backus (D-Manchester).

Today, Congressman Paul Hodes proudly stands with the Professional Fire Fighters of New Hampshire and their President, Dave Lang, as they endorse his campaign for Congress.  This is the first major endorsement that the Hodes for Congress campaign has publicly released of the 2008 general election.

David Lang, president of the PFFNH said the group endorsed Hodes because of his stance on the FIRE and SAFER Acts and Hodes economic record.

MANCHESTER-- The Professional Fire Fighters of New Hampshire have endorsed state Sen. Ted Gatsas (R-Manchester) re-election campaign.

In 2006, the group endorsed Gatsas' current opponent Bob Backus (R-Manchester). Gatsas and Backus are competing for the state senate district 16 seat.

MANCHESTER -- Flanked by firefighters wearing their signature black-and-gold T-shirts, Jeanne Shaheen said they can count on her if she is elected in November.

Shaheen was joined by International Association of Fire Fighters General President Harold Schaitberger and Professional Fire Fighters of New Hampshire President David Lang. After the rally in Manchester, the trio attended a chili event in Hampton.

The Professional Fire Fighters of New Hampshire has announced they will hold events for former Gov. Jeanne Shaheen (D-Madbury)'s U.S. Senate campaign later this week.

The fire fighters will hold a rally on Thursday in Manchester at a fire station and then head to the seacoast for a chili event and rally in Hampton. The chili events became a staple in the 2004 New Hampshire primary with U.S. Sen. John Kerry (D-Mass.).

DENVER-The Professional Fire Fighters of New Hampshire are hosting an "after gravel" reception for Granite State delegates after the convention speakers finish on Monday night.

"I thought it would be a nice gesture to show them [the delegates] a good time when they're out there," said David Lang, president of the Professional Fire Fighters of New Hampshire.

Lang said the event is not expecting any surprise guests.

"It's a pretty low-key event," he told PolitickerNH.com.

Lang added that he has not hosted a convention reception before but has hosted similar ones in New Hampshire.
