UPDATE: Police looking for Dodds

Portsmouth police are once again searching for former congressional candidate Gary Dodds.

"No details are available, however police at the scene told The Portsmouth Herald Dodds was wanted on an unspecified warrant. There is no word on whether he was arrested," The Associated Press is reporting.

Dodds was convicted earlier this year of staging his own disappearance in 2006.

Dodds to serve prison time

Former Congressional candidate Gary Dodds was sentenced to serve 20 days in prison and pay restitution in relation to his disappearance two years ago.

In February Dodds was convicted on four charges of faking having a car crash and then faking his disappearance while he was running for Congress.

Dodds's attorney is appealing the sentence.

    Dodds, on national television, 'disappointed' with decision

    Former Democratic Congressional candidate Gary Dodds said he was "disappointed" with three guilty verdicts against him yesterday that he faked his disappearance in after a car wreck 2004 to get publicity for his campaign.

    Gary Dodds has been found guilty on all charges for lying about the circumstances of his disappearance in 2004.

    He will be sentenced in 45 days.

    Demers, Dinan included on Dodds' witness list

    Among the names listed on the Gary Dodds witness list is political consultant Jim Demers and Portsmouth Herald reporter Elizabeth Dinan.

    Demers, who served has an advisor to Barack Obama’s New Hampshire campaign, said he did not know why his name is on the list.
