Fremont resident Peter Bearse has announced that is launching an independent congressional challenge to Congresswoman Carol Shea-Porter (D-Rochester).

Bearse made the announcement in a press release on the website NH Insider.

"It is also a time of extraordinary opportunity for the nation to make real changes. In this time of uncertainty for the major parties, Independent candidates will generate unprecedented voter interest. I am among their number," Bearse said.
