If Carol Shea-Porter has been successful at one thing, it’s getting things done her way. In 2006, she was a big underdog in the primary, yet defeated Jim Craig, the DCCC’s choice in the race. Then in the general glection she was severely under-funded against two-term Congressman Jeb Bradley. Bradley looked to be on his way to an easy re-election, but Shea-Porter did it her way and shocked the world, or at least the 1st Congress

House GOP considers Whalley's replacement

The House Republican leaders gathered on Thursday to discuss the leadership void left by the death of Mike Whalley.

Whalley had been serving as House Republican leader.

According to Kevin Landrigan, possibilities include leaving the position open or elevating Deputy Leader David Hess or former House Speaker Gene Chandler.

The field becomes four

Grant Bosse, a former aide to Senator Sununu, will announce he is running for Congress tomorrow on a Lebanon radio show, Kevin Landrigan reports.

Bosse will make the announcement on Terry Dudley's radio show.

The Republican activist joins a primary that includes Jennifer Horn, Bob Clegg and Jim Steiner.
