CONCORD – The Senate reaffirmed its support today for legislation allowing New Hampshire to participate in the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative.

SENATE STREAMLINES FUNDING MECHANISM FOR LCHIP

CONCORD – The Senate voted today to clarify how registries of deeds will collect a surcharge on certain documents to benefit the Land and Community Heritage Investment Program. The program provides grants to local communities for land conservation and historic preservation.

CONCORD – The Senate voted today 16-8 in support of legislation to allow New Hampshire to participate in the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative.

Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama, supporters from various Democratic presidential campaigns gathered today to launch “Unity 08,” a push to put a Democrat back in the White House.

The effort is aimed at highlighting John McCain's record.

Former Party Chairwoman Kathy Sullivan, State Rep. Terie Norelli and State Sen. Sylvia Larsen represented the Clinton campaign. Ned Helms and State Sen. Martha Fuller Clark represented the Obama camp and State Sen. Peter Burling represented the Edwards campaign. State Party Chairman Ray Buckley was also present.
