Hodes Part of Least Popular Congress in History

Bosse blames abysmal 9% approval rating on failed Hodes-Pelosi policies

(Hillsboro)  Republican Grant Bosse today said the failed policies of Nancy Pelosi and Paul Hodes have dragged Congressional approval into single digits for the first time. Rasmussen Reports shows only nine percent of Americans believe Congress is doing a “good or excellent job”, while a record-high tying 52% believe Congress is doing a “poor job”. This marks the first time in Rasmussen’s history of polling that Congressional approval dipped below ten percent.

Two peas in a pod?

A Concord Monitor analysis finds that freshmen U.S. Rep. Paul Hodes (D-Concord) and U.S. Rep. Carol Shea-Porter (D-Rochester) share more than just the same political affiliation.

"Both have sided with House Democratic leaders on about 98 percent of votes, according to congressional voting records records," The Monitor concluded. "Those percentages put Hodes and Shea-Porter in the top fifth of House members when it comes to voting with their own party."

Hodes says Bush should not attend Olympic opening ceremonies

Congressman Paul Hodes (D-Concord) says President Bush should not attend the opening ceremonies of the upcoming Olympic Games.

The games are taking place in Beijing and have become the center controversy over China's human rights record and the recent crisis in Tibet.

Calling China's human rights record "abysmal," Hodes called on Bush to boycott the opening ceremonies.
