Bradley runs radio ad featuring ‘gold star mother’

Former U.S. Rep. Jeb Bradley (R-Wolfeboro) has begun running a radio ad against his opponent current U.S. Rep. Carol Shea-Porter (D-Rochester) that claims Shea-Porter did not return requests from a mother who lost her son in Afghanistan.

The ad features Natalie Healy, whose son Dan died in Afghanistan in 2005. In the ad Healy says that Shea-Porter has ignored her letters, a claim Shea-Porter's office has refuted.

Scamman: I am not running for state senate

Former State House Speaker Doug Scamman said that while many fellow Republicans want him to run for the state Senate, he will not be a candidate.

"There are a lot of people out there telling me I should run, but I tell them I am not. Then they go ahead and say that I am considering it and hope that I change my mind. But I am not running for the state Senate," said Scamman in an interview.
