Rudy Giuliani's former New Hampshire executive director has been hired to head-up John McCain's election efforts in Michigan and Wisconsin, Marc Ambinder is reporting.

Jennifer Hallowell will serve as McCain's "regional campaign manager," in the two important battleground states.

Former New Hampshire Republican Chairman, and Rudy Giuliani's state Chairman, Wayne Semprini has endorsed First Congressional District candidate John Stephen (R-Manchester).

Semprini said Stephen is the best candidate to defeat Congressman Carol Shea-Porter (D-Rochester).

"I think that first and foremost John stands the best chance in getting the seat back," Semprini said. "He's shown in the way that he managed the Department of Health and Human Services and he understands personal responsibility and that it takes out-of-the-box thinking to reduce spending."

Former Republican U.S. Senate candidate Thomas Christo has passed away.

Christo, 59, died Saturday from a brain aneurysm.

Manchester Mayor Frank Guinta said that Rudy Giuliani "conducted his campaign as he has his career, with both dignity and honor."

During his concession speech in Florida, former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani was joined on stage by his New Hampshire campaign Chairman Wayne Semprini.
