GOP to hold ‘positive look forward meeting’

Two Republican consultants and the mayor of the largest city in New Hampshire have organized an invitation-only meeting for Granite State Republicans to get together and discuss ways to "move forward to 2010," PolitickerNH.com has learned.

The meeting, being billed as a "Working Meeting: A Positive Look Forward," is being organized by Jim Merrill, Neil Levesque and Manchester Mayor Frank Guinta. It is scheduled to take place on December 15th at Saint Anselm College's New Hampshire Institute of Politics.

St. A’s poll: Obama up by 12

According to a Saint Anselm College poll Barack Obama is leading John McCain by 12 points in the Granite State, a margin significantly higher than recent polls.

Last week a Suffolk University poll had Obama beating McCain by 1 point, while a UNH poll had McCain leading Obama by 2 points and Rasmussen had McCain also up by 2 points.

Hodes, Shea-Porter discuss transportation

GOFFSTOWN- Congressman Paul Hodes (D-Concord) and Congresswoman Carol Shea-Porter (D-Rochester) are spending a couple of days hosting the New England Council Regional Transportation Summit at Saint Anselm College.

The aim of the summit is to gather transportation leaders and the New England Congressional delegation in one place to discuss regional transportation needs.
