Senate passes 'Granny D bill'

Yesterday, the "Granny D bill" passed the New Hampshire State Senate by a voice vote.

The bill would establish a commission to study the feasibility of public financing for state elections.

Secretary of State Bill Gardner, House Speaker Terri Norelli and Senate President Sylvia Larsen would appoint commission members.

Gov. John Lynch is expected to sign the bill.

Politicos lampoon each other to raise money for fundraiser

Politicians from state Sen. Bob Clegg (R-Hudson) to Gov. John Lynch (D-Hopkinton) were the subjects of jokes at this morning's annual New Hampshire Capital St. Patrick's Day Breakfast.

The breakfast is sponsored by The Demers Group with proceeds going to the Children's Hospital at Dartmouth (CHAD).
