STATE SENATE CANDIDATE STEVE SPRATT RESPONDS TO NHGOP MAILING

Oct 13, 2008 – According to a column by Kevin Landrigan in the Nashua Telegraph, the NHGOP mailed a postcard to the voters of Senate District 11.

The mailer highlights the 2004 arrest of state Rep. Stephen Spratt (D-Greenville), during which, according to an indictment, Spratt swore at and threatened men who were working next door to his house.

James Tobin has been indicted on new charges relating to the phone-jamming case, The Union Leader reported.

In 2002 Tobin worked for the Republican National Committee and helped form a plan to jam the phone lines of the Democratic Party's get-out-the-vote efforts.

DENVER-Former Gov. Jeanne Shaheen (D-Madbury) said at a Democratic fundraiser that she hoped U.S. Sen. John Sununu (D-Waterville Valley) would be indicted, according to First Read.

Shaheen made the comment while discussing the election and Sununu often being called the most vulnerable Republican incumbent, but later told a reporter that she met it has a joke.
