Andy Sanborn Receives "A" Rating from NRA

Janeway silent on Second Amendment rights

(Henniker)   State Senate candidate Andy Sanborn's status as a defender of gun owners' rights has been cemented. Sanborn received an impressive "A" rating from the National Rifle Association, while Harold Janeway received a rating of "?". An "A" rating may be awarded to a non-incumbent candidate who "has expressed strong support for NRA positions on Second Amendment issues". A candidate receiving a "?" rating, in the NRA's words, "Failed to answer NRA-PVF candidate questionnaire, often an indication of indifference, if not outright hostility, to gun owners' and sportsmen's rights".

NHGOP STATEMENT ON SUPREME COURT RULING

CONCORD –   Fergus Cullen, Chairman of the New Hampshire Republican Party, made the following statement today:

“We join freedom-loving people everywhere in welcoming the Supreme Court’s decision this morning striking down the D.C. gun ban. With Barack Obama visiting New Hampshire tomorrow, I wonder how he will explain his support for this unconstitutional ban. Obama’s support for the D.C. gun ban is just part of a long record of anti-gun positions that show a profound misunderstanding of the Second Amendment. Obama should spend less time labeling gun owners as bitter, and more time reading the Constitution.”

JEB BRADLEY COMMENTS ON SUPREME COURT RULING REGARDING THE 2ND AMENDMENT

Wolfeboro, NH  “The Supreme Court Ruling today solidifies what most Americans already knew…that our founders, in creating the Constitution and the foundation for this nation, believed in individual rights, including the right to protect oneself. The 2nd Amendment of the Constitution is clear: law abiding Americans have the right to keep and bear arms. In their wisdom, our founders understood that government, if left with too much control, would remove the rights of the individual. Therefore the 2nd Amendment protects individual liberties from being infringed upon. Today’s ruling by the Supreme Court confirms our rights as Americans guaranteed by our Constitution.
