NH Democratic leaders support DNC seating of Michigan and Florida

In this column yesterday I speculated about the damage to the NH Primary with the Democratic Convention seating Florida and Michigan with full voting rights. Democratic leaders in Denver disagree though and believe both states have been punished enough. NH Democratic leaders supported seating both Florida and Michigan and believe they were punished enough by having the candidates boycott the states by not campaigning there.

Democrats dealing blow to NH primary

The Democratic National Convention is dealing a blow to the NH First in the Nation Primary this week.  The Democratic National Committee had stripped Florida and Michigan of their voting rights at the convention because they violated primary rules when they tried to move ahead of New Hampshire on the primary schedule.  Now the National Convention is reinstating all rights for Michigan and Florida.  One has to wonder, if you don’t enforce the punishment, what will prevent them from doing the same again in the future.

NH Republican among today's speakers at Democratic Convention

The Democratic National Convention will be called to order at 5:00 PM EST today and among the guest speakers will be a lifelong Republcan from New Hampshire.   Ret. Rear Admiral John Hutson,
Pres. Franklin Pierce Law Center in Concord is scheduled to address the Convention tonight.
