New Hampshire’s rising stars
By Wally EdgePolitics Magazine, formerly Campaigns and Elections, has an annual list of top rising political stars under age 40. This year’s list has two New Hampshire Democrats.
Steve Marchand, who was elected mayor of Portsmouth at only 31 is no stranger to state democrats. Marchand has a long history of activism in campaigns in the Granite State. Also on the list was Bill Hyers. Hyers is new to the state having last worked for Philadelphia Mayor Michael Nutter, but is now managing the campaign of Jeanne Shaheen.
