Who wins New Hampshire in 2012, Palin or Romney?

The race to watch in 2012, regardless of the outcome of the 2008 presidential campaign, could be the New Hampshire Republican primary between Sarah Palin and Mitt Romney.  If Palin is Vice President, then she benefits by the Granite State's tradition of supporting incumbent VP's running for President (Al Gore in 2000, George H.W. Bush in 1988, and Richard Nixon in 1960).  But if she's seeking to challenge President Barack Obama, she must deal with New Hampshire's other tradition -- not supporting unsuccesful vice presidential nominees for the presidency, like John Edwards (2008), Joe Lieberman (2004), and Bob Dole (1996, 1988 and 1980).

Palin Power!

I call dibs on running the Palin 2012 campaign! I don't see Mitt wining in NH. The McCain campaign did a great job in making him look like a phony and the Union Leader hates him.

Um... "Pres. Obama"??

It's entirely likely that a Pres. McCain would run for a second term. But of course you don't even explain your reasoning for leaving this possibility out.

Mitt Romney 2012

As the economy continues to worsen, and Obama continues to rise, Obama will be the president in 2009-2013. Obama seems to practice the Carter economic blue prints, which will continue to make the economy falter. Mitt Romney will serve on Econonminc Committees, and maybe serve a term as a US Representative, where ultimately he will be the best choice for 2012, and NH will go his way, not the struggling Sarah Palin's
