Arnie Arnesen - for sure

In an age of conservative media we need alternative voices like Arnie Arnesen waking people up. She is the clear choice.

Who knows?

The results presented here make me think of the Florida butterfly ballet. Could you make the results next to the names?

Arnie is the obvious choice

Arnie Arnesen is the obvious choice.

Love her or hate her, folks tune in just to hear what she is talking about. She is like the late, great Jerry Williams in that way.

So, if you care about ratings and about being au courant, Arnie should get the job.

Jack Heath is way better than Arnie!

It isn't even close, Arnie is a cranky old lady that is a socialist. Jack Heath is an informative and entertaining radio host that is deeply connected to the news of the day.

A vote for Arnie

It's a no-brainer; Arnie would get the biggest ratings. She's the Howard Stern of political talk. Her fan's would tune in and her detractors would too--Ratings and journalistic gold!! What are you waiting for WMUR?

Poll for replacement of Spradling

I would have voted for Arnie Arnesen but I couldn't figure out how to do it. Which means, you really didn't want my opinion, right.

Jack Heath is the best!

Hands down Jack Heath is the best guy to take over for Scott. If it wasn't for Sununu running in that primary, Jack Heath would have been a member of Congress. Anyone who listens to Jack on the radio knows that his knowledge of NH politics is far superior to the other people this poll suggests.

Arnie Arnesen

Hands down, Arnie is the one, it would be so good to get some decent interviews going - Arnie asks quality questions and makes people think - wow wouldn't that be different?

03/27/08 6:25 pm

1000 votes

Jack lost by 1000 votes.

03/27/08 5:12 pm

Eh

Didn't Jack Heath lose a Republican congressional primary, quite handily, after leaving WMUR to jump into that race? Can we move away from Republicans like him and liberals like Arnie and get some new blood in there?

03/27/08 2:29 pm

Jack Heath is a God!

Jack Heath is far superior to any of these other choices. He is the ultimate analyst and far more knowledgeable on NH politics than the other lightweights on this list. The guy should run for Governor, he could run this state a lot better than little Lynch.

Get rid of Tammany Tom Rath

Whoever replaces Scott. they have to clean up "Closeup". Ditch "Tammany Tom" and other braindead egotists like Kathy Sullivan and Lou D'Allesandro. Let's get some fresh faces!

Arnie Arnesen

Arnie is the clearest thinker I have ever known or heard. She cuts to the core of any subject. On her shows she always has 2 sides of any story she covers. She is a brilliant speaker. Very liberal but Republicans adore her. The public would be well informed if she is given the chance to be heard.

Insight, Objectivity, Fearlessness and Fairness...

..that's what the Spradling replacement needs to offer the viewing audience. I have been watching NH media coverage of local, state, and national environments since 1981 - when I moved to the state. In that time, the only person that did not give me the feeling that there was not some 'agenda' in the closet, or something that was being intentionally not covered ( because, perhaps, doing so was not politically correct ) was/is Arnie Arnesen.

Fact - pure and simple. With Arnie you get unbridled, non-cosmetic coverage ( something that many refer to as the 'truth' ). And, no matter who it was that she may be have been interviewing at the time, I always felt that she was on an academic and political par.

Pindell and Landrigan!

Two of the only reporters who actually are not in the tank and who know how to dig out a story.

Whoever takes over the Sunday show needs to follow Arnie's example and bring in a few new faces. We have all seen and heard enough from old farts like Demers, Rath, and D'Alaesandro.

Spradling replacement?

I would LOVE that job!

Pindell

Let's put some fresh faces on politics. He knows the new media, new players and new activists PLUS let's not forget who the national media turned to in NH for commentary...hint: it wasn't Jack Heath.

03/26/08 7:33 pm

Jack!

Go Jack Heath...he's the man!
