Will Spradling leaving be as successful?

Scott Spradling has been a mainstay in New Hampshire politics for over a decade. James Pindell announced today that Spradling will be leaving to form the Spradling Group. Spradling has earned respect as a hard hitting yet fair political reporter in his tenure at WMUR.

WMUR has a long history of recent successes to pass through their hallways.

Jennifer Donahue
left WMUR and landed as a political reporter and commentator at CNN before ending up as St. Anselm College Senior Advisor of Political Affairs.

Jack Heath left WMUR to form an online news business, BizNews24, which was successful before he sold it and started Meridian Communications which has become a top communications consulting firm in the Granite State. (Jack, you owe us, we did you a favor by not mentioning your WNDS stint).

Another successful alumni is Carl Cameron. We all know Carl now as the Fox News Chief Political Correspondent, but often forget his New Hampshire roots when he was covering the NH Primary for WMUR in 1996.

Only time will tell if Spradling will have the same success as some of his WMUR alumni.

Spradling leaving

In your listing of former WMUR folks who have left and become successful... you left out Dan Harris who has done an outstanding job. Of course, he was not the political guy.

Spradling debuts at #2

Since he's soon to be unemployed, the only catching up in terms of respectable employment he'll have to do is to Jennifer Donahue.
