Carol's Expensive Tastes
Maybe Carol Shea Porter needs to raise so much money because she's gotten so used to sending out expensive, full-color campaign-style mass mailings from her Washington office (at taxpayer expense) that she can't BEAR to send out anything less during her upcoming campaign. "Second-rate, black-and-white inked mailings JUST WONT'T DO" she's been rumored to have said.
What's more important is whether Nancy Pelosi will let her off her leash long enough to come back to campaign in New Hampshire. She's been the rubber stamp for the Moveon.org extremist wing of the party for over a year now. That won't sell in the Granite State.
